The description says this guy shifts champagne, green and gold. While it isn't extreme by any means, it's stunning and does indeed shift all three colors it promises. I haven't tried with a black/ darker base yet, but I definitely want to do that in the future. If you are expecting an extreme multichrome, you may find yourself a little disappointed, but as a tri foil, it's so true to description and beautiful! I was able to grab the missing shade Turtle Club nd now my collection is complete! Everything comes in solid, sturdy, yet creative and cute packaging. I look forward to seeing what else is created in the future!
I love the formula of Menagerie’s metallics and this definitely lives up to that quality. My greatest issue with this eyeshadow is that it is just a beautiful, glittery yellow metallic. Maybe I got a bad batch or something, but there is no shift at all. I’ve tried it over glitter glue, black and white bases, nude eyeshadow primer, and I’ve looked at it in all types of light. It’s just yellow. It looks like the shade Canary but more of a bright yellow and without any of the pink shift. It’s still pretty and a good quality, but defiantly disappointed it doesn’t have that trifoil green/gold/champagne shift.
Thank you for your review! If you apply any of the tri-foils over a deeper shade, the shifts are much more apparent. Lighting and the direction of the light play a huge part in how they color shift as well.
